Nameri National Park In Assam

Nameri is considered as among the richest biodiversity hotspot of the world. This hot spot is also famous for dinosaurs and other wild animals like Assamese macaque, wild dog, Bengal fox, jungle cat, hog deer, mouse deer, leopard, tiger, fishing cat, wild boar, Indian porcupine, Indian pangolin, flying squirrel etc. And the birds like birds and insects like white winged duck, drongos, beautiful nuthatch, grey headed angling eagle and many more insect life like butterflies, moths, spiders, ants and termites. Nameri is a treat for any entomologist. The actual movement of the herds of animals is an amazing sight of the Nameri. Sometimes they trespass in human inhabited villages which has attracted the attention of wildlife conservationists worldwide.

Best Period to Go to Nameri

Ideal time to visit the place is November To March. After March due to the too much rainfall it becomes difficult to explore the park totally.
